Our freestyle courses will allow you to make the most of the snow conditions and make the most of your tracks. You will also receive a pedagogical approach to freeriding. You want to learn to be autonomous in all situations, and discover the world of powder snow.

Every year our ESI instructors follow an off-piste safety refresher course supervised by ANENA (Association Nationale Etude Neige et Avalanches). During these days our instructors are reminded by experts in the field of nivology (study of the snow), observation of the off-piste terrain, methodology in case of avalanche and reminder of the use of equipment.

Have you already covered the entire ski area of your resort? Get off the beaten track and discover your resort in a different way thanks to the expertise of our ESI instructors. 

Our teams will help you discover the best freeride spots (depending on conditions and avalanche risks), explore virgin areas, make your mark in the powder and reconnect with nature. 

The essential equipment for off piste

An off-piste outing must be prepared in advance: An avalanche transceiver (DVA), essential to find a person buried under the snow. A shovel to dig and free a victim under the snow. A probe to quickly find and evaluate the depth at which the skier...

A smartphone so you can tell someone where you are going before you go out freeriding and never forget to charge your phone!

And don't forget an airbag with all of the above equipment to ensure a minimum of safety when off-piste. We will teach you how to use all the equipment before the trip.

The equipment is not the only thing that is important!

It is essential to consult the weather forecast and the BRA (Bullletin risque d'avalanche) before each outing.
If the weather is too bad, it is imperative to cancel the outing and postpone it.
Our instructors will never hesitate to turn back in case of unforeseen circumstances and also your physical condition.
Always respect a certain safety distance while not being too far away.
