Samoëns is less than 2 hours from Lyon and only 1 hour from Geneva. 

The ski area is accessible in 10 minutes via the village of Vercland thanks to its 8-seater gondola, the Grand Massif Express, which will take you to an altitude of 1600 meters.  
With its 265 kilometers of slopes, the ski area has a lot to offer to the skier, especially to beginners who will find many slopes easily accessible, ideal for children. But don't worry, experienced skiers will find many more challenging runs in the Tête de Saix sector. A snowpark for freestylers is also available in the Samoëns area with various intermediate level modules.

Here the atmosphere is rather peaceful, compared to other ski resorts, the après-ski is more calm and relaxing.
