In the skin of the instructor trainer

The instructor trainer is confronted with a permanent contradiction between pushing the limits and mastering safety. Alpine skiing in general is a piloting sport that must be refined in competition and it is a speed sport on a changing terrain that requires total adaptation and control to safeguard the physical condition of the participants. The coach must develop trust with the student so that he/she can concentrate on his/her commitment and experience the unique sensations of ski racing.

The factors of vigilance of the coach during the training sessions or competitions are the material used, the place of practice, the respect of the instructions, the knowledge and the application of the safety rules of the skier.
